class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Presenter Amar Latif has pulled on his walking boots and is heading on a journey along one of Yorkshire\u2019s most surprising rivers in Air TV&#8217;s latest sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As a blind man with a passion for outdoor adventure, Amar will be abseiling into a hidden canyon, canoeing across a vast reservoir and swimming through icy waters as he discovers how the stunning landscape along the River Nidd has been shaped.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Nidderdale is t<\/span><span class=\"s1\">he\u00a0<\/span>place where hidden gorges have been carved out over thousands of years, where villages have been left abandoned after huge civil engineering projects, and where the farms of the future are taking hold in the landscape.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Amar\u2019s 13-mile route takes in the most stunning parts of this unique river valley and is packed with intriguing history, stunning nature and incredible views.\u00a0 He will visit mysterious ruins, explore a hidden canyon, discover the remains of an abandoned village, canoe over Bradford\u2019s water supply and meet the local llamas!<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7676 alignleft\" 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>His journey starts at Scar House reservoir, where the River Nidd begins.\u00a0 Amar will canoe over the reservoir which now provides most of Bradford\u2019s drinking water. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">His journey continues down the Nidd valley where farmer Martyn Brown is revolutionising the way that farms connect with nature as he has planted 10,000 trees on his farm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Next stop is How Stean Gorge where Amar abseils into the gorge to examine the natural rock formations and explore how the gorge came to be. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Amar and his guide continue to Pately Bridge where they hear how brown trout are thriving in the river there. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7673 alignright\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>And the journey concludes in Wilshill where Amar meets Suzanne Benson who owns a llama tekking farm beside the River Nidd.\u00a0 Suzanne takes Amar on a scenic llama trek in a unique setting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is a continually fascinating film with a dynamic new presenter &#8211; which is one of the eleven River Walks being transmitted on BBC One at 7.30pm on 10th December.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Air TV is proud to have been awarded the highest level of Albert Sustainable Production certification
