While exploring the history of Upper Teesdale, Kirsten will meet some of the extraordinary people who call the banks of this river home and will take an icy wild swim in its white waters.<\/p>\n<p>Kirsten begins her trek at South Gare near Redcar \u2013 a childhood playground for Kirsten and her brother \u2013 and then takes in High Force, Middleton in Teesdale and ancient Egglestone Abbey. Along the way she samples the local cheese, learns about the dale\u2019s wildlife and meets an artist who specialises in canine portraits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">This is a charming film with a dynamic local presenter.
