Friday night saw Air TV pick up three prestigious awards from the Royal Television Society (Yorkshire) Awards.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
We won the Best Single Documentary\u00a0category\u00a0for our River Walks programme with Amar Latif in Nidderdale, and once again took the Low Cost Factual trophy for Helicopter ER. The evening then concluded\u00a0with u<\/span>s\u00a0picking up the much coveted\u00a0\u201cIndependent Spirit\u201d award for best production\u00a0company – for the second year\u00a0running.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

These are all huge achievements and are\u00a0down to the whole team’s incredibly hard work over the past year. We’d also like to thank everyone who’s supported us over the last 12 months including all the team at UKTV, the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Indielab, Mathewsons and all the production sector in Yorkshire. We’re really grateful for all your help and support.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The judges had this to say about our winning entries:<\/p>\n

Helicopter ER<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe jury thought the winner was a dramatic feast with great storytelling and access. It felt fresh and contemporary thanks to its great use of technology, superlative editing and well-pitched commentary. The highest praise was that it looks like a great show to work on.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

River Walks: A Nidderdale Adventure<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is an absolutely delightful film which was stunningly shot. The presenter\u2019s enthusiasm was contagious, and its production values were phenomenally high.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Air TV – Independent Spirit<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

“It has been an incredible year for Yorkshire\u2019s production companies, making the judging extremely difficult. However, Air TV have gone from strength to strength building on their successes and showing genuine range and adaptability.”<\/em><\/p>\n
