
Matt is Air TV’s Managing Director as well as being an Executive Producer on many of our shows.
He has led our filming teams on Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad for several years, and is now also overseeing work on our new property renovation series Derelict Rescue. Matt previously worked for the BBC for more than 15 years, starting as a news reporter and video journalist for BBC News before moving into programme making as an Assistant Producer and shooting Producer/Director.
From filming in Syrian refugee camps, to following car rallies across the Sahara and scrambling with Australia’s flying doctors, Matt has filmed in some pretty challenging and unpredictable situations.
Much of his work has been with the emergency services including Helicopter Heroes Down Under, the BBC’s Break-in Britain and Children’s Emergency Rescue with Fiona Bruce.
He’s a qualified air ambulance Technical Crew Member and a licensed drone operator. Matt also runs an outdoor adventure charity and is a qualified mountaineering and rock climbing instructor.
