We are also proud to have been winners of the “Independent Spirit” award three times at the prestigious Yorkshire RTS Awards.

Our diverse team have filmed in extreme environments from the Arctic to the baking outback of Western Australia. We’re also the only production company with a full-time team of Technical Aircrew qualified to fly on UK air ambulances.

Matt Richards
Managing Director, Exec Producer
Matt is Air TV's Managing Director as well as being an Executive Producer on many of our shows. As a keen programme maker, he's often found at the sharp end of our filming. He has led our filming teams on several series including Helicopter ER, 999 Rescue Squad and Derelict Rescue, and oversees all aspects of the business.
Ian Cundall
Director, Exec Producer
Ian’s specialised in making and managing programmes in difficult, dangerous or sensitive environments - from filming the exhumation of a victim of history’s deadliest virus to discovering a lost shipwreck off Iceland. He’s worked for ITV, ITN and the BBC and is a qualified pilot.
Andy Joynson
Director, Exec Producer
Making a high-profile returning series about classic cars is a dream come true for Andy. In a varied career he's worked as a series producer in current affairs, launched BBC One’s football show, Late Kick Off, and has worked with presenters as varied as rock legend Rick Wakeman and Richard Hammond.
Morland Sanders
Executive Producer
Morland is Executive Producer on Bangers & Cash and Restoring Classics as well as developing a range of new projects for different broadcasters. He's an experienced journalist and programme maker who previously was a reporter for Channel 4's Dispatches.
Adam Barber
Production Executive
Adam is the main point of contact for recruitment, logistics, edit schedules and deliveries across all of our programmes. He previously had a long career at the BBC working in talent management, scheduling and production roles.
Lesley Sayers
Group Finance Manager
Lesley is our Group Finance Manager, looking after all our accounts and paperwork with many years of experience gained at the BBC. She’s also a keen golfer and was the first ever female President at her golf club.
Caroline Baxter
Production Finance Manager
Caroline is very experienced in TV finance and now works alongside Lesley to ensure the smooth running of the financial side of Air TV.
Gregor Stewart
Series Producer
Gregor is a highly experienced producer and director who is currently looking after the production of our Bangers & Cash series.
Holly Pywell
Series Producer
Holly is our Series Producer on the Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics series. She has been part of Air TV from almost the very beginning!
Philippa Bradley
Series Producer
Philippa is the Series Producer for Yorkshire Air 999, bringing the work of the air ambulance to this immersive series for Warner Bros. Discovery.
Simon Phillips
Series Producer
Simon is the Series Producer for Angus Ashworth's Yorkshire Country House Weekend - which is being filmed in spring and summer 2025.

John Anderson
Series Director
John is a hugely experienced and award winning TV cameraman and works across all of our programmes. He specialises in documentary, current affairs and observational series and is also a qualified helicopter pilot.
Daniel Green
Series Director
Dan has many years of experience as a cameraman and editor. He's worked on major series in the UK and Australia and is now the Series Director on our Warplane Workshop series.
Andy Dry
Technical Manager
Andy looks after all of the technical aspects of everything at Air TV. There's nothing Andy can't fix!
Amy Herdman
Production Manager
Amy is one of our Production Managers, mainly working across all of our Bangers & Cash series. She is from the North East and is a qualified football coach and referee and enjoys snowboarding and triathlons.
Alize Akturk
Production Manager
Alize is one of our talented Production Managers, working across several of our programmes. She has a degree in Film and Television Production from the University of York and is part of the BAFTA mentoring scheme.

Ali Beever
Producer
Ali works out of our Thornton-le-Dale office, keeping track of all our filming for Bangers & Cash. She has many years of experience at the BBC, having worked in news and current affairs.
Nicki Copley
Producer
Nicki is an experienced producer who is currently working on our country house series. She was previously a key member of the team delivering Air TV's medical emergency programmes.
Mel is working with Philippa on the second series of Yorkshire Air 999. She’s an experienced Producer, having recently worked on Derelict Rescue, Wild Animal Rescue and A&E Live.
Charlie Wainwright
Assistant Producer
Charlie joined Air TV back in 2018 and has worked across all of our programmes. She's now part of our development team and also films on the helicopters for Yorkshire Air 999.
Lydia Geronikolos
Assistant Producer
Lydia is an Assistant Producer working on our medical series, and looks after the compliance aspects across all of the programmes. She is a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism course at Leeds University.
Hannah Kenworthy
Assistant Producer
Hannah is an Assistant Producer on our Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics series, finding and organising the restoration of classic cars across the country.
Joe Foley
Producer Director
Joe has been with Air TV since 2017 when he was officially the “One to Watch” after picking up a coveted award as the most promising newcomer at the RTS Yorkshire awards. He now works across all of our shows as a shooting PD.
Kristian Bamforth
Producer Director
Kristian is an experienced Producer Director, currently working on our Bangers & Cash series. He has also brought his shooting skills to 999 Rescue Squad, Helicopter ER and Yorkshire Air 999.
Phil Spencer

Phil is a hugely experienced cameraman and director. He's currently bringing his skills to Bangers & Cash and Warplane Workshop but also regularly works on several of our other shows.

Jake recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University. He has a passion for classic cars, so is well suited to his role on the Bangers & Cash series - working out of our office in Thornton le Dale.
Daniel Stannard

Daniel works across many of our programmes and is currently the key contact for patients for Yorkshire Air 999. He has a degree in Journalism from the University of Leeds.

Ian is our Transport Manager, travelling across the country with all of our vehicles for Bangers & Cash and Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics.

Chris Timson
Colourist and Online Editor
Chris is our lead colourist and online editor, grading and delivering our programmes to the broadcasters. He's a keen cyclist and pilot.
Michael Houghton
Colourist and Online Editor
Michael is our multi-skilled online editor. He's equally at home grading or dubbing our programmes before delivery. Michael has a degree in Film and Television, and is our second fully qualified football referee.
Ian Bailey
Dubbing Mixer
Ian is our talented dubbing mixer who makes all of our programmes sound perfect before delivery. He's joined us after an extensive career as a technical manager at the BBC.
Warren Baxter
Lead editor
Warren is one of our lead editors, helping to shape the look of all of our programmes. He's previously worked for Sky, Al Jazeera and National Geographic and is currently crafting episodes of Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics.
Simon Casson
Lead Editor
Simon is one of our lead editors, working across Bangers & Cash, Yorkshire Air 999 and Derelict Rescue. He's previously worked for the BBC, ITV, Sky & Channel 4 editing all genres from Dispatches to Benidorm ER, Location Location Location and Antiques Road Trip. 
Steve Shone

Tom is one of our video editors. Having recently finished the second series of Derelict Rescue, he's now working on a range of other programmes. He joined us as an Edit Assistant in 2018 after completing his degree at Leeds Beckett University.

Cameraman / Editor
As an experienced cameraman and editor, Peter gets involved in most aspects of Bangers & Cash. He works to craft episodes of the series and is also regular face on auction days.

Bob is one of the longest-standing members of our editing team and has worked on almost every series. He's now editing episodes of Warplane Workshop for Channel 4.

Alisha Brassington
Post Production Coordinator
From managing the footage across multiple series, to dealing with compliance blurs on the emergency shows, Alisha's role is wide and varied. She joined us after getting a degree in Entertainment Management at Leeds Beckett University.

Lewis is the Edit Assistant for Bangers & Cash, working to prepare all of the varied footage ready for editing into each episode.
Riley Bristowe
Production Assistant
Riley was a contributor on Bangers & Cash after he bought a classic from the auction - now he works on the show! He's one of our production assistants, getting involved in all aspects of the production from filming to preparing material for the edits.
