As winners of the “Independent Spirit” award for the second year running at the prestigious Yorkshire RTS Awards, the judges recognised how our commitment to development, training and teamwork was being reflected in our dynamic and immersive TV shows.
We are also very proud to be named as one of the top ten “Best places to work in TV” in 2022 by Broadcast Magazine.
Our diverse team have filmed in extreme environments from the Arctic to the baking outback of Western Australia. We’re also the only production company with a full-time team of Technical Aircrew qualified to fly on UK air ambulances.
Our Team
Matt is Air TV's Managing Director as well as being an Executive Producer on many of our shows. As a keen programme maker, he's often found at the sharp end of our filming. He has led our filming teams on Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad for several years, and is now also overseeing work on our new property renovation series Derelict Rescue.

Lesley is our finance manager, looking after all our accounts and paperwork with many years of experience gained at the BBC. She’s also a keen golfer and was the first ever female President at her golf club.

Holly is our multi-talented Production Manager who has just rejoined us after an 18 month career break working in a ski resort in Canada.

Gregor is a highly experienced producer and director who is currently looking after the production of our Bangers & Cash series.

Nicki is an experienced producer who works across our emergency programmes. She was previously a producer on Dragons’ Den for the BBC in London.

After several decades at the BBC, Lucy is now our lead edit producer on Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad. She works alongside our editors to script and structure the programmes, while making sure everything we say is checked and double checked.

George is a vastly experienced Self Shooting PD who is currently filming on our Helicopter ER Series. With an appetite for adventure, she's survived on The Island with Bear Grylls and worked on several other adventure series including Hunted and The Heist.

John is a hugely experienced and award winning TV cameraman and works across all of our programmes. He specialises in documentary, current affairs and observational series and is also a qualified helicopter pilot.

Dan is a cameraman and editor with years of experience gained at the BBC. He's worked on major series in the UK and Australia and now works primarily on our Warplane Workshop series.

Ali works out of our Thornton-le-Dale office, keeping track of all our filming for Bangers & Cash. She has many years of experience at the BBC, having worked in news and current affairs, and more recently has been working as a teaching assistant at a primary school.

Christine is a hugely experienced producer who works across all of the ideas we are developing. Her meticulous research and planning helps us to focus on the best ideas for new series. She's also working alongside Andrew to coordinate filming for our property show in the Yorkshire Dales.

Graduating with a degree in Broadcast Journalism, Jenny joined Air TV in 2017 and since then has progressed to Junior PD and now works across several of our shows. She is currently co-ordinating the filming for our new Derelict Rescue series, as well as filming on the air ambulance for Helicopter ER.

Joe was officially the “One to Watch” for 2017 after picking up a coveted award as the most promising newcomer at the Royal Television Society’s Yorkshire Centre Awards. He now works across all of our shows and can often be found filming for Helicopter ER, 999 Rescue Squad and Bangers & Cash.

Kristian is an experienced DV Director working on our 999 Rescue Squad programme at the HART base in Leeds. He's worked on a variety of shows including Mudertown, M1: The Motorway that made Britain and Holidaying with Jane McDonald.

Jonny is one of our shooting Assistant Producers, working across our emergency medical programmes 999 Rescue Squad and Helicopter ER.

Charlie joined Air TV in October 2018 and has been one of the team liaising with patients for our two medical emergency series, Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad. Charlie graduated from Leeds Trinity University with a degree in Journalism. She now works on Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics.

Lydia is our Researcher on our two medical programmes, and is the main point of contact for all of the patients who feature in the shows. Lydia's a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism course at Leeds University.

Caroline is very experienced in TV finance and now works alongside Lesley to ensure the smooth running of the financial side of Air TV.

Holly is our Production Assistant, looking after the paperwork for all of our series, as well as assisting with logistics and planning. Holly has previously worked for ITV and the BBC, and has a National Diploma in Musical Theatre.

Chris is our Colourist and Online Editor, grading and delivering our programmes to the broadcasters. He's a keen cyclist and pilot.

Warren is our lead editor, helping to shape the look of all of our programmes. He's previously worked for Sky, Al Jazeera, National Geographic and Discovery and is now based in our York offices.

Simon is one of our editing team, working across 999 Rescue Squad, Helicopter ER and Bangers & Cash. He's worked for the BBC, ITV, Sky & Channel 4 editing all genres from Dispatches to Benidorm ER, Location Location Location and Antiques Road Trip.

Richard is one of our editors, working across all of our shows. With decades of experience at the BBC, Richard is now bringing his skills to Helicopter ER, 999 Rescue Squad and Derelict Rescue.

Kate is one of our editing team, working on both 999 Rescue Squad and Helicopter ER. She's worked on shows such as Emmerdale, Heartbeat and Touch of Frost - as well as editing game shows, documentaries and current affairs.

Bob is one of our editing team, working on both 999 Rescue Squad and Helicopter ER.

Tom is one of our Junior Editors, helping to craft the stories in our emergency programmes Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad. He joined us as an Edit Assistant in 2018 after completing his degree at Leeds Beckett University.

David is our newest Junior Editor - currently crafting stories for our next Helicopter ER series.

Peter looks after all of our footage for Bangers & Cash and is based in our location production office in Thornton le Dale. As an experienced cameraman and editor, he also gets involved with shooting around the garage and is a regular face on auction days.

Michael is our multi-skilled Junior Online Editor. He works alongside our colourist and dubbing mixer to help deliver all of our programmes to UK and international broadcasters. Michael has a degree in Film and Television, and is our second fully qualified football referee.

Jake is a student at Leeds Beckett University with a passion for classic cars, so is well suited to his new role as a runner on the Bangers & Cash series - working out of our office in Thornton le Dale.

From driving footage around, to organising the office and helping keep the whole operation on track, Alisha's role is wide and varied. She's joined us after getting a degree in Entertainment Management at Leeds Beckett University.
