We are very proud to be have been named as one of the “Best places to work in TV” for five years running by Broadcast Magazine. The survey recognises how our commitment to development, training and teamwork is being reflected in our dynamic and immersive TV shows.
We are also proud to have been winners of the “Independent Spirit” award three times at the prestigious Yorkshire RTS Awards.
Our diverse team have filmed in extreme environments from the Arctic to the baking outback of Western Australia. We’re also the only production company with a full-time team of Technical Aircrew qualified to fly on UK air ambulances.
The Air TV Team
Matt is Air TV's Managing Director as well as being an Executive Producer on many of our shows. As a keen programme maker, he's often found at the sharp end of our filming. He has led our filming teams on Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad for several years, and is now also overseeing work on our new Derelict Rescue and supercar series for Discovery.

Gregor is a highly experienced producer and director who is currently looking after the production of our Bangers & Cash series.

Caroline is very experienced in TV finance and now works alongside Lesley to ensure the smooth running of the financial side of Air TV.

Amy is our Junior Production Manager, working across all of our programmes. She is from the North East and recently completed a Production Management course at Leeds Trinity University after gaining a degree in Media Production and English at Leeds University. She’s a qualified football coach and referee and enjoys snowboarding and triathlons.

Sima is a hugely experienced Series Producer who is now running the team making the second series of Derelict Rescue.

Holly is our Series Producer on the Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics series. She has recently rejoined us after an 18 month career break working in a ski resort in Canada.


Tom is the Story Producer on our new Channel 5 series "Cumbria: The Lakes and the Coast" which is due to transmit in early 2024.

Ali works out of our Thornton-le-Dale office, keeping track of all our filming for Bangers & Cash. She has many years of experience at the BBC, having worked in news and current affairs, and more recently has been working as a teaching assistant at a primary school.

John is a hugely experienced and award winning TV cameraman and works across all of our programmes. He specialises in documentary, current affairs and observational series and is also a qualified helicopter pilot.

Dan is a cameraman and editor with years of experience gained at the BBC. He's worked on major series in the UK and Australia and now works primarily on our Warplane Workshop series.

Joe was officially the “One to Watch” for 2017 after picking up a coveted award as the most promising newcomer at the Royal Television Society’s Yorkshire Centre Awards. He now works across all of our shows and can often be found filming for Helicopter ER, 999 Rescue Squad and Bangers & Cash.

Kristian is an experienced Producer Director, currently working on our Bangers & Cash series. He has also brought his shooting skills to 999 Rescue Squad and Helicopter ER.


Hannah is an Assistant Producer on our Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics series, finding and organising the restoration of classic cars across the country.

Dean is one of our Edit Producers, working with our editors to craft episodes of Bangers & Cash.

Rob is one of our team of edit producers, currently bringing his storytelling skills to Derelict Rescue and Bangers & Cash.

Rick is a very experienced TV producer who is currently bringing his edit producing skills to the latest series of Bangers & Cash.

Charlie joined Air TV in October 2018 and has been one of the team liaising with patients for our two medical emergency series, Helicopter ER and 999 Rescue Squad. Charlie graduated from Leeds Trinity University with a degree in Journalism. She now works on Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics.

Lydia is our Senior Researcher working on our medical programmes, and is the main point of contact for all of the patients who feature in the shows. Lydia's a graduate of the Broadcast Journalism course at Leeds University.

Alize is one of our talented Production Coordinators, working across all of our programmes. She has a degree in Film and Television Production from the University of York and is part of the BAFTA mentoring scheme.

Chris is our Colourist and Online Editor, grading and delivering our programmes to the broadcasters. He's a keen cyclist and pilot.

Warren is our lead editor, helping to shape the look of all of our programmes. He's previously worked for Sky, Al Jazeera, National Geographic and Discovery and is now based in our York offices.

Simon is one of our editing team, working across 999 Rescue Squad, Helicopter ER and Bangers & Cash. He's worked for the BBC, ITV, Sky & Channel 4 editing all genres from Dispatches to Benidorm ER, Location Location Location and Antiques Road Trip.

Terry has worked for broadcasters across the globe as both an editor and director. She is currently bringing her skills to the latest episodes of Bangers & Cash.

Tom is one of our video editors, currently working on the second series of Derelict Rescue for Warner Bros. Discovery. He joined us as an Edit Assistant in 2018 after completing his degree at Leeds Beckett University.

David is our newest Editor - currently crafting episodes for a new series of Derelict Rescue.

<PICTURE COMING SOON!> Steve is a very experienced video editor – currently crafting the latest episodes of Bangers & Cash.

Peter looks after all of our footage for Bangers & Cash and is based in our location production office in Thornton le Dale. As an experienced cameraman and editor, he also gets involved with shooting around the garage and is a regular face on auction days.

Jake recently graduated from Leeds Beckett University. He has a passion for classic cars, so is well suited to his role on the Bangers & Cash series - working out of our office in Thornton le Dale.

Natalie is one of our edit assistants, making sure all of the post production goes smoothly on our Bangers & Cash series.

Daniel is one of Air TV's multi-skilled runners, and he works across all of our programmes. He has a degree in Journalism from the University of Leeds.


Riley was a contributor on Bangers & Cash after he bought a classic from the auction - now he works on the show! He's one of our runners, getting involved in all aspects of the production from filming to preparing material for the edits.
