Popular classic car restoration series Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics picked up the award for High Volume Factual at this weekend’s Royal Television Society Yorkshire Awards

More than 20 members of the Air TV team were there, together with friends from UKTV, the Mathewsons and many of our other series, to see the awards being handed out to the very best shows from across the region.

The judges said of Bangers & Cash Restoring Classics that it was “a national success story that has Yorkshire in its soul. This series boasts all the key factors that TV viewers still adore: Nostalgia, warm characters and northern wit.”
