Air TV has secured the contract to produce the official coverage of the UK’s largest sports-focused weekend festival.
Co-founded by England international rugby stars Will Greenwood and Austin Healey, Festival of Sport offers thousands of children the opportunity to try dozens of sports over one weekend, supported by well known sporting legends from across the UK. More than 1600 young people are expected to take part in the event this year which will be taking place on the Packington Estate in Warwickshire in July.

Air TV’s team will be using their new Mobile Production Unit live outside broadcast facility to produce interactive content throughout the weekend. This will be shown live on the event’s big screens as well as on the festival’s social media channels and website. Their coverage will include live programming of key sporting moments, multi-camera coverage of on-stage entertainment, and social media highlights reels throughout the weekend.
Sporting legends who will be involved over the weekend include Olympians, Paralympians, world record-holders and international capped stars. They all actively participate throughout the weekend, coaching and playing alongside youngsters.
Matt Richards, Managing Director at Air TV said: “We can’t wait to get involved with this huge event, and make use of our live production facilities in a new way. We’ve always been excited about the crossover between live in-person events and live screen entertainment, and this will enable us to add an extra dimension to this unique festival.”
Festival of Sport Co-founder Will Greenwood says, “It’s incredible to have so many professional sports people in one place with so many enthusiastic children, all keen to learn from the very best. This weekend is all about celebrating the joy of sport, and we’re looking forward to working with the Air TV team to really show that off in their coverage of the event.”
Yorkshire-based Air TV is one of the country’s leading factual TV companies with current titles including Bangers & Cash, Yorkshire Air 999 and Warplane Workshop. The company also has a growing digital and live events division, and this is their latest contract in the events space.
Festival of Sport 2026 is taking place on the Packington Estate in Warwickshire on 24th-27th July.
